This project investigated the creation of a closed loop system which takes advantage of existing infrastructure within the urban fabric to stimulate the sustainable regeneration of a city through self sufficency,  circular metabolism, food security and renewable energy; particularly energy-from-waste systems.The Re-[W.R.A.P.] Masterplan is driven by the RE-appropriation of Waste Reclaimation & Agricultural Production; leading the city towards sustainable self sufficiency in waste management, energy production and food production (through vertical urban farms). A robust closed economic loop is formed by creating businesses and industries around the skills, knowledge and technology required to research, develop, market and implement these programmes.
